A user account is required in order to edit this wiki, but we've had to disable public user registrations due to spam.

To request an account, ask an autoconfirmed user on IRC (such as one of these permanent autoconfirmed members) or send an e-mail to admin@wiki.whatwg.org with your desired username and an explanation of the first edit you'd like to make. (Do not use this e-mail address for any other inquiries, as they will be ignored or politely declined.)

Note: This wiki is used to supplement, not replace, specification discussions. If you would like to request changes to existing specifications, please use IRC or a mailing list first.

This is a collection of proposals for specs. Before drafting a proposal, please read Is there a process for adding new features to a specification?. If you want to add a feature request, start by copying the Problem Solving template page onto a new page and fill out as much information as you can.

You do not have to provide detailed answers for everything straight away. The most important information to provide at first is the problem description. Once we have detailed descriptions, use cases and an understanding of the limitations with existing markup, we can then begin to discuss the best way in which to address the problems and work out more of the more technical details.
