The idea is to make the information as self-contained as possible. This does not give you a hint why I wrote it in the first place but at least the text contains a statement that is valid in isolation.
I would also complain that I lose track of who wrote what in an interleaved discussion too often. Is it just me? --Yecril71pl 19:33, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
